About Celeste’s Holiday Graphic Collection
All images in Celeste’s Holiday Graphic Collection are entirely free for your personal, non-commercial use on Web pages or your computer desktop. Although these images may be freely used as stipulated, ownership and copyright remain with the originator, Celeste Dolan Mookherjee. If you use any images from my collection on your personal Web page, please include a credit and link back to my site on the same page of your site where my graphics appear. Scroll down on this page to find link graphics and sample HTML you can use.
If you wish to use any of my holiday graphics on a commercial Web site, please contact me in advance by e-mail for permission. (Licensing fee may apply.)
You MUST download and save images from Celeste’s Holiday Graphic Collection that you wish to use on your personal Web page, then upload them onto the server that holds your Web page files. Please do NOT link to any images on this site! (WebTV users, please check out the new WebTV information page.) Linking results in "hits" charged against the bandwidth allotment for my site, and as the site owner I must pay for any excess bandwidth usage above the monthly allotment. It’s only fair that you not make someone else pay for visitors to view graphics on your site. Linking can also result in broken image icons on your site when the original graphics are moved or renamed. (And I have been known to rename an image and then give the original image name to a very ugly graphic. Note that my website log files list the URLs that grab images via a link, so it is not possible to link surreptitiously.)
Please note: you may NOT include any graphics from this site in another graphic collection unless you have my explicit, written permission. If you want to include something from this site in your collection, please contact me in advance by e-mail for permission.

A few additional notes (inspired by questions I’ve received in e-mail):
- Based on the provisions of US Copyright Law and the Berne Convention, you may not modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the images from Celeste’s Holiday Graphic Collection without the prior written consent of the copyright holder. This means you may not resize any image from this collection, either in your graphics program or in the HTML code of your Web page, nor may you change the colors of these images. This also means you should contact me for permission before merging one of my designs into another graphic you are designing for your Website. I nearly always say “yes” to personal use, but you must ask first.
- If you are a teacher and wish to use images from this collection in your classroom, you have my permission to do so. The only exception is use in fundraising activities, which is not permitted.
- Use of images from Celeste’s Holiday Graphic Collection on a corporate intranet site is considered commercial. You must write for permission.
- Commercial use of any kind requires permission, and a fee may apply. When you write for permission to use images from this graphic collection on a commercial Website, please include the commercial site URL.
- T-shirts, stationery, arts and crafts, or any other items deasigned for resale are commercial by definition. Use of images from this collection for such items is expressly prohibited unless you have written in advance for permission and a valid licensing agreement is in force.
- The images in this graphic collection were designed for Web use and are therefore rendered at 72 ppi (pixels per inch) — standard screen resolution but too low for good print quality. If you must, you may print images from this collection, provided (1) your use is personal only (not commercial) and (2) you understand that print quality will be less than ideal.
