- Where to find more original graphics
By obtaining your Web graphics only from the original artists (and adhering to the artists guidelines for their use), you can be sure you will not be violating anyones copyright. Beware of graphics sites containing statements like I found these graphics all over the web, or Nothing here is copyrighted its all public domain as far as I know, or Enjoy these graphics I downloaded from alt.binaries.clipart. I have found my graphics on such sites many times, and every one of my images is copyrighted. Every artist listed below has had similar experiences. Help keep free graphics available for personal use by always knowing the origin of the graphics you use. Never assume graphics you find on the Web are in the public domain most are not.
- Ace of Space Web Design
- This used to be the home of a very large collection of original backgrounds for Web pages by the Ace of Space. Sadly, the free graphics have been removed because many of them were taken from the site and placed on a CD-ROM for sale without permission from the artist, who receives not a penny of the profits from that CD-ROM!
- Web Designer 97 or 98
- This is the CD-ROM referred to above, containing many original designs by the Ace of Space and others. If you have a copy of the CD or know anything about it, please visit this page and help the Ace of Space track down the person(s) who stole her graphics.
